2nd Ave South Footbridge History

A footbridge has spanned Belt Creek at the historic crossing at 2nd Ave South and Castner Street since 1883. The 2nd Ave South footbridge has been taken out many times throughout the years by natural and man-made events. Every time the 2nd Ave South footbridge has been taken out, the community of Belt has come together to raise funds and resources to rebuild.  Belt Park & Rec Board Inc. and generous donors are leading the the latest rebuilding effort.
